Columbia African Diaspora Literary Society

The Columbia University African Diaspora Literary Society is a student organization established to counter the misrepresentation of the achievements of people of African descent in the Western canon (eg: Columbia’s Core Curriculum) through education and fruitful conversations. Our interest lies in using literature as a tool to educated members and spread knowledge about inequalities that disproportionately impact people of African descent in and outside of academia.
