Every morning, just like clockwork,
Chocolate woke up with a sneeze in the old abandoned mill and shook the hay off his nose.
Straight away he headed out to see Sarah, his sort-of friend, barking happily while he looked for something to eat. Then, like always, he hid behind the fence for hours, watching the little girl do her homework.
His sense of smell told him that one day
they would be great friends. All he needed was for Sarah to love him‌
Back at the old mill, he chased after the red
leaves blowing along the ground, dreaming that he was already living with the family. He closed his eyes tightly and concentrated really hard on his dream coming true‌ there was always hope!
His heart filled with so much joy, there was no room for sadness!
One day, the little bird that lived in the
almond tree in the garden asked him, “What are you doing there, hiding behind the fence?”
“I’m waiting for the right moment to introduce myself to Sarah,” replied Chocolate.
“Why are you so dirty?” asked the little bird.
