Reading Group Film: Munich

Wragby Library, LN8 5AA 8 August | The Film 2pm & 7.30pm 12 September | The Book | 2pm & 7.30pm | Come join the group to first watch the film Munich, adaptation of the book Vengeance: The True Story of an Israeli Counter-Terrorist Team. Rachel Carter - Willow-maker in Residence

Alford Craft Market, Alford Manor House, LN13 9HT | 28 & 29 August 10am – 5pm The nature of Rachel’s work is to design and create sculptural pieces for the garden or landscape setting, using mild steel and woven willow. Inspiration for her work comes from plants within her own garden and trips to Botanical gardens and the English countryside. For Alford Craft Market Rachel will reside at Alford Manor House, offering participatory workshops in willow wreath and sphere making. All participants will take away their own unique decorated wreaths, whilst a permanent willow sphere will be created for installation in Alford Manor House’s gardens. Alford Music Festival: Miranda Sykes & Rex Preston

10 September | 10.30am - 12.30pm When Joe, Beth and Frannie move to a new ome an Enchanted Wood is on their doorstep, and when they discover the Faraway Tree this is the beginning of many magical adventures! Come and make a sweetie tree, toys from ‘The Land of Toys’ and get involved in a drama based on creating your own ‘magic’ land at the top of the tree! (Ages 6-9) Limited to 20 on a first come basis.

Lincolnshire Heritage Open Days

8 – 11 September Celebrate the rich and varied local heritage of Lincolnshire. Over 120 special openings and events have been arranged across the county and all are free of charge. This year's theme is "Victorian Lincolnshire" which includes events such as guided tours of historic houses, living history depicting life in the Victorian period and the Victorian legacy of church restoration. www.lincsheritage.org.

Bathing Beauties Community Canvas

Friday 16 September | 1pm | ON THE BEACH Over the past two months local arts groups and schools have been working on creating their own piece of artwork. Look out to see what happens when 12 local community groups bring their artwork together to create one great piece of Bathing Beauties art!

Joel Stickley, Lincolnshire Poet Laureate, ‘Hits in the Hut’

17 September | 12 noon / 2pm / 4pm Treading the same sacred ground as Alfred Lord Tennyson, Joel waxes lyrical from his own Laureate Beach Hut.
