A MEMORABILIA TOUR
01 This shocking pink outfit was custom made for Bette Midler. She wore it during her 1999-2000 Divine Miss Millennium tour. Specifically, she wore this outfit for the songs “Marihuanna” and “The Lady is a Tramp/Sophi Tucker.” Located on the 3rd Floor of the Platinum Tower.

02 David Bowie started his musical career in the early 60s and continued for over five decades! He sold over 140 million records worldwide and was inducted in the Rock and Rock Hall of Fame in 1996.

This red silk shirt was part of a suit worn on stage and for a photoshoot in 1997. The red Supro Guitar was used by David on stage in 1987. Located in the Main Hall.

This green Washburn guitar was autographed by Dimebag Darrel of Pantera/Damageplan. This guitar and frame survived Hurricane Katrina and was retrieved from the Gulf. Darrel used Washburn guitars between 1996 and 2004, endorsing various signature models. Darrell only ever took one guitar lesson and was self-taught by watching and talking to locals acts in his youth. Dimebage Darrell was shot and killed during a concert by a schizophrenic fan on the 24th anniversary of the murder of John Lennon (December 8, 2004). Located in the Hard Rock CafĂŠ Bar Entrance.
04 Brett Michaels wore this outfit while appearing on The Apprentice in 2010. The acoustic guitar which was designed and signed by Brett is called “The Player.” Located on the 12th Floor of the Platinum Tower.

05 This black trademark bustier with gold trim and tassels was used on Madonna’s 1997 “Who’s That Girl” Tour, her first world tour and worn in the “Open Your Heart” video.

Upon completion, the tour was considered the largest and highest grossing musical concert tour ever. The tour also marked Madonna’s first run-in with the Vatican, with the Pope urging Italians not to attend her concert. Located in the Casino Hall.

DJ SAN D HAILING FROM NEW ORLEANS, LA, DJ San-D is one of the nation’s best Video DJs. On his path to achieving national video DJ recognition, San-D has had the opportunity to play clubs and VIP events across the country and has collaborated with some of America’s best-known club VJs/DJs. San-D is always one step above the rest with his growing custom music library and wellcrafted mixing skills. Whether you prefer getting down on the dance floor or sipping drinks at the bar, DJ San-D’s technique & variety will have you marking him as your next favorite club Disc Jockey. He is one of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Biloxi’s resident DJs and you can enjoy his set at iLOV305, LIVE Remix and Boogie Nights. Read on to learn more about the artist from his inspirations to his favorite local restaurant.
Tell us a bit about yourself, how did you get started in music and how did you end up in Biloxi? I’ve always been into music even since I was a kid. Pink Floyd, The Doors, Incubus, bands like that. In 2008 I was working in the AV department at Harrah’s New Orleans where I transferred in to a full time DJ. We had a very successful run there making Harrah’s club, “Masquerade” the place to be. Looking for a change I ended up in North Carolina at Harrah’s Cherokee opening a new venue for them. Upon returning to New Orleans I signed with my management company Visual Club Concepts and for a few years I was playing all over the country. Within the past 3 years or so I started getting booked more regularly at the Hard Rock and enjoyed it so much, I decided to move to the Biloxi area. What’s the music scene like in Biloxi and how do you fit into it? Biloxi’s music scene is very diverse and has changed a lot in the last
couple of years. The once dominant club scene has been dwindling down and replaced with smaller low key venues that features DJs and live music. Like iLOV305, we have a band and DJ that split time throughout the night to give variety to everyone. Do you draw inspiration from the area and the South in general? Personally I do not. Over the years, I’ve been turned on to so many types of music it’s hard to say what directly influences me anymore. My main goal is focusing on whatever type of music gets an emotional response out of the people I’m performing for. What’s the biggest misconception about the South and its music? I’m not sure of any real misconceptions of the music here. I think people who have never visited the Mississippi Gulf Coast might not realize we have beautiful beaches along the Gulf of Mexico, great weather and a bunch of Vegas Style resorts.

Can you describe the kind of events you play at Hard Rock? I’ve been fortunate enough to have been able to call Hard Rock home for the past three years. I enjoy my time here. I used to travel all over but it’s nice to be able to sleep in your own bed every night. With Hard Rock, I play at Pitbull’s new iLOV305 Lounge in the center of the casino. It has an awesome vibe and to have someone like Mr.
Worldwide affiliated is even better. I also play in the main room which is called Live #Remix which has that Vegas style club vibe, as well as our smaller club called Boogie Nights which is an all night 70s and 80s dance mix. During the summer months, I play every Sunday at Tequila’s On the Gulf, which is our pool plus restaurant/bar.
What makes Hard Rock a unique venue to play at? Hard Rock in its own right is very unique not only as a venue but in its branding. Music makes people feel a certain way and when you can keep people entertained and feeling good about their night you have done your job. On any given weekend we have 3 different venues with 3 different DJs playing different types of music as well as live bands in the center of the casino at iLOV305. Plus there is a live band inside the Hard Rock Café restaurant every weekend. That’s a lot of entertainment. Not to mention the National headline acts that come in every month and the summer pool parties. Any standout nights or memories? There’s been a lot over my career such as being part of a team that helped establish a venue’s dominance by going from something no one had ever heard of to a “Nightclub and Bar Magazine” top 20 venue. However, I would say that the opening of iLOV305
here at the Hard Rock was a stand out night. Getting to meet Pitbull and be associated with his first venue will always be a great memory. Favorite local venue? Although biased, I would say any venue at Hard Rock. I am here minimum 4 nights a week so when I’m off, I’m pretty much a homebody! Favorite local restaurant? This one is easy, Half Shell Oyster House! It’s a pretty popular seafood place. They actually have a location inside of Hard Rock as well as a few in the general area. Always fresh oysters. Any future plans to release music? I hope so. By trade I am a video DJ so I used to do a lot of video editing for music. Lately I’ve been focusing less on video and more on mashing up and remixing throwback rock and dance music. I usually post content on social media, look me up!
