CALL TO WORSHIP Psalm 25 (CEB)
I offer my life to you, Lord My God, I trust you. Please don't let me be put to shame. Don't let my enemies rejoice over me. For that matter, don't let anyone who hopes in you be put to shame instead, let those who are treacherous without excuse be put to shame Make your ways known to me Lord, teach me your paths Lead me in your truth, teach it to me, because you are the God who saves me. I put my hope in you all day long.

AFFIRMATION OF FAITH
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; And in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body,

#185 When Morning Gilds the Skies — LAUDES DOMINI
Please stand as you are able.
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

WE HEAR THE WORD PROCLAIMED CANTICLE Romans 8:31, 33, 34
If God Be for Us (from Messiah) — George Frideric Handel If God be for us, who can be against us? Who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth: who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that is risen again; who is at the right hand of God, who makes intercession for us.
SCRIPTURE Romans 8:38-39
I’m convinced that nothing can separate us from God’s love in Christ Jesus our Lord: not death or life, not angels or rulers, not present things or future things, not powers or height or depth, or any other thing that is created. (CEB) This is the word of God for the people of God. Thanks be to God.

WE RENEW OUR COMMITMENT
INVITATION TO OFFERING OFFERTORY
O Love — Elaine Hagenberg O Love, that will not let me go, I rest my weary soul in Thee; I give thee back the life I owe, that in thy ocean depths its flow may richer, fuller be. O Joy, that seeks me through the pain, I cannot close my heart to thee; I trace the rainbow through the rain, and feel the promise is not vain that morn shall tearless be. O Love, that will not let me go!
PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING (The Book of Worship, 1965, alt.)
Almighty God, giver of every good and perfect gift, teach us to render to you all that we have and all that we are, that we may praise you, not with our lips only, but with our whole lives, turning the duties, the sorrows, and the joys of all our days into a living sacrifice to you; through our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.
