YOU CAN HELP FEED HUNGRY STUDENTS IN OUR AREA

Did you know that we partner with Brunson Elementary, Wiley Middle School, Reynolds High School and the Winston Salem Street School to help fill their food pantries? At Reynolds and the Winston Salem Street School, we help stock food pantries where students can “go shopping” for food at school to take home. At Brunson and Wiley, we partner with them through the BackPack Program. The school administration identifies students in need of food and enrolls them in the program. We purchase “backpacks” through Second Harvest Food Bank – each one has two breakfasts and two lunches. If you’d like to partner with us in helping these students gain access to food over the weekends, you can do so through prayer, financial support, and volunteering to transport backpacks to schools! For more information, please contact Anna Thomas (athomas@centenary-ws.org/ext 1332).

If you are interested in joining Curamericas Global on a work team in Bolivia, Guatemala, or Kenya, please join Rev. Meg Peters on Wednesday, April 17 in room 107 at 6 pm. Curamericas Global (formerly Andean Rural Health Care) has saved the lives of moms and their babies around the world, including here in NC. Please contact Rev. Meg Peters (mpeters@centenary-ws.org) for any additional information.

YOUTH SUNDAY SCHOOL

Join us every Sunday at 10:00 am on the fourth floor (@Youth Commons) for ALL youth Sunday School. As always there are breakfast snacks, coffee & drinks, and friends & fellowship before the lesson every week!

Beginning April 7, join us for a brand-new series in Youth Sunday school, “Faith Face to Face”. This new series is all about exploring your questions of faith. We asked you what your questions are; you told us what you’re wondering about, and together we will find the answers! In 1 Corinthians 14: 33 we are reminded that “God is a God not of confusion, but of peace”. We can’t wait for you to be part of this great opportunity to take one question of faith each week and seek God’s wisdom so that we might more grow in the likeness and love of Jesus.

COLLEGE & BOARDING SCHOOL CARE PACKAGES

At our Confirmation and Graduation Recognition services each year we promise to stay the course of faith with our church babies no matter where they go. One of the ways we do this is to send a ‘little love’ to our church babies away at school. Our Pathfinders class lovingly packs all kinds of goodies and reminds them that as they go into final exams, we are praying for them.

This month’s speaker is The Hon. Michael Robinson, Superior Court Judge. We gather at 11:45 and lunch will be served at noon. To register, send an email to seniorlunch@centenary-ws.org or call the church office during business hours. Luncheon cost is $10.00 and the signup deadline is Wednesday, April 10.
