CILLDI 2012 Summer Internship Program We are looking for U of A students with an interest in Indigenous languages, language education and language documentation to join us for the first annual CILLDI Summer School Internship Program. What is CILLDI? The Canadian Indigenous Languages and Literacy Development Institute(CILLDI) is a tri-faculty initiative between Arts, Education and Native Studies, currently in its 13th year at the U of A. CILLDI runs an annual summer school here in Edmonton aimed at speakers, teachers and learners of Indigenous languages. Our students come from across Canada, representing a wide variety of different languages. We will be offering a total of 17 courses this summer. What does a CILLDI Intern do? CILLDI Interns have a unique opportunity to gain first-hand experience working with Indigenous language educators and community linguists, collaborating with our CILLDI instructors and learning about language revitalization efforts from community and academic experts. Each intern will be assigned to a particular CILLDI class, either in Block I (July 9-18) or Block II (July 18-27). The intern will attend the class (M-F 9:00-3:30) and serve as a resource person for the students. Who can apply? Open to undergraduate and graduate students from anydepartment at the U of A. Completed applications, including a letter of support from a professor or instructor, are due by 4pm on Thursday, March 15th. EUREKAMP 2012 - Summer Camp Registration Open Paper-based registration is now open for the 2012 season of EUREKAMP. Online registration will open February 28. New programs for campers in grades 1-3.
