FAQs ü The Cambridge University Press Primary series seems to be written to a high level. Why is this? ü This is because the series follows the globally recognised Cambridge International Curriculum. Although it may initially appear challenging, the skills-led, enquiry-based approach means that teachers will be able to help their pupils to attain the appropriate international standards of achievement. ü Is there enough material to last for a whole school year? Is it too much material for the school year? ü The course is very flexible; it may be used alongside or in support of other curricula, and the thematic/ unit approach allows schools to adapt it to their needs. ü At what level is each stage? ü Cambridge Global English is based on the CEFR: Stages 1–6. See below for details of each stage: Stage 1 : towards A1
Stage 2 : towards A1
Stage 3 : A1
Stage 4 : towards A2
Stage 5 : A2
Stage 6 : A2 towards B1
ü As Cambridge Primary Science and Mathematics are also ‘language controlled’, they correspond to levels A1 to A2. Although the language levels do not comprise the content, they do reflect the language skills needed to access the content.
