Journalism // Creative & Art Directing // Creative & Critical Writing // Fashion Imaging and Styling // Marketing // Promotion // Microsoft Office // Adobe CS6 Illustrator, Photoshop & In-design

The last 3 years studying Fashion Media & Promotion, has given me skills in, journalism, photography, styling and marketing as well as confidence, independence and a keen eye for detail. I am someone who thrives to channel my creativity to create new and innovative ideas. I enjoy portraying my personality throughout my work to cause impact, thinking past the norm and finding new paths, enabling me to inject originality into a project, just as I did for my final major project. My main driver and inspiration for my final piece was myself and how we are a generation who seem overly confident yet, fail in sharing our embarrassing stories and experiences with each other. This led me to produce my brand, along with, a zine and an art installation based on daydreams and memories. Internships // Best Days Vintage // Carrie Louise – Set Design & Art Director

UNDER THE SKIN: CLASS OF INVISIBLE ILLNESS

Being a student at university is a journey for everyone,; with an invisible illness, this cross road becomes a mountain. This piece aims to highlight the struggles of mental health within students which are often ignored because they aren’t visually apparent, by making these invisibilities physical to portray the struggle . Exploring anxiety, eating disorders, addiction and personality disorders.

Anxiety is the handmaiden of creativity

She took each pill to escape what her life had become until she was numb

One day her smile will be real

You only know part of her

Last Word Here at Northbrook College, we subscribe to Vreeland’s philosophies on fashion and style. We are a boutique-sized course and students choose us for our small numbers and personalized approach to education. Our students regularly achieve national recognition in the field. Graduate Helena Lester-Card is part of a group of female creatives confetticrowd.blogspot.co.uk and currently the face of Nike’s ‘Look of the City’ campaign northbrook.ac.uk/news/nike. Student Emma Stevens was a finalist of the Elle Talent Contest 2014 Writing competition. Consequently, the graduates of 2015 are a determined, talented, bunch of individuals. Embracing both new technology and lo-fi methods of working, their studies are backed up by extensive awareness of market forces, lifestyle, music, sub-culture and trend. Their skills in fashion communication are second to none. They can spot an emerging trend at fifty paces and are willing to go the extra mile within the creative industries. If you want PR, if you need to style a lookbook, if you require a stylist, are looking for editorial staff, need to organize an event or require a fashion film – this cohort can deliver. Aside from learning and developing their skills, this years graduates have already made their mark in industry whilst on placement with brands such as asos.com, Burberry, Dazed and Confused, i-D, and Topshop. Northbrook produces graduates who have entrepreneurial spirit and canny business acumen. An example is the urban street wear website www.bythelevel.com – a Brighton based creative team providing a specialized service and online platform focusing on skate and street fashion. There are many people behind the scenes who facilitate our students’ successes. The students and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the academic, technical staff and management team in the art, design and media department for their support. Without them, we would not have the diversity and quality of work presented this year. Finally, congratulations to the graduates of 2015, we wish you every success in your future careers. Go forth and conquer… Bianca Donnelly Course Leader BA (Hons) Fashion Media & Promotion
