Inspirado no 18º artigo da Declaração Universal de Direitos Humanos, no qual toda pessoa tem direito à liberdade de pensamento, de consciência e de religião, o documentário mostra como o Agahü é feito e utilizado tradicionalmente no Alto Xingu pelo povo kuikuro. O sal do Xingu alimenta o espírito da natureza, dos rituais e das pessoas, fortalecendo sua alma.

Inspired by the 18th article of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which states that everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion, the documentary shows how Agahü is traditionally made and used by the Kuikuro people in the Alto Xingu. The salt of Xingu feeds the spirit of nature, rituals and people, strengthening the soul.

Takumã Kuikuro

Takumã Kuikuro é cineasta, coordenador do Coletivo Kuikuro de Cinema e presidente da Associação Indígena Kuikuro do Alto Xingu. É formado em edição pela Fundação Darcy Ribeiro, realizou residência artística em Londres e oferece oficinas de produção audiovisual entre povos indígenas da Amazônia.

Takumã Kuikuro is a filmmaker, coordinator of Kuikuro Cinema Collective and president of the Kuikuro Indigenous Association of the Upper Xingu. He has training in Editing from Darcy Ribeiro Foundation, took part in an artistic residency in London and offers audiovisual production workshops for Amazonian indigenous people.
