lance and asked the export collectorate to point out goods to be re-exported. Accordingly, the goods worth Rs 272.82 million involving Rs 155 million duty and taxes were seized, he added. The goods included merchandise/ contraband goods of high slab duty such as mobile phones, perfumes, LED TVs, refrigerant gas, etc. An FIR was lodged and arrests were made in the case. Moreover, the Customs Preventive also seized another consignment of mobile phones totaling 71400 mobile sets which were imported on vague description and under single PCT i.e “Electronic Goods and Stationery”.
