odel Customs Collectorate Islamabad surpassed the collection target by Rs34.95million Customs Duty against the assigned target for February Financial Year 2016-17. According to Collector Dr. Arslan, MCC Islamabad’s performance was quite well during February. During February FY2016-17, the

collectorate generated Rs441.95million Customs Duty whereas it was assigned the target of Rs407.000million during said period. The collectorate collected Rs344.10million CD during the corresponding year 2015-16. The MCC generated surplus amount of Rs59.09million Customs Duty against the assigned target during January FY2016-17. The Islamabad customs collectorate is assigning high revenue collection targets of CD as compared to past months (July to January FY16-17). The MCC

surpassed the allocated target for January FY 16-17 with the collection of 112% and the collectorate was given the target of Rs479million CD for above said month whereas the collectorate earned Rs538.09million Customs Duty (CD). The collectorate received Rs110.75million more CD than the earmarked target of Rs427.34million during the same corresponding period of FY2015-16. It may be remembered that the Islamabad collectorate has been surpassing the CD targets for the last seven months (July to February FY2016-17).
