he Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has collected Rs 2,609 million withholding tax on immoveable property from the account of sellers during eight months of the current Minancial year (from July 1, 2016 to February 28, 2017) and a total of
131,981 transactions were made during this period. The FBR collected Rs 1,058 million through 106,399 transactions during the same period of the last year (from July 1, 2015 to February 28, 2016). The FBR collected Rs 1,180 million in 10,451 transactions as compared to collections during the same period of the last year. 2015, the FBR collected Rs 110 million in 10,452 transactions. In August 2016, the FBR collected Rs 319 million in 17,728 transactions. In September 2016 FBR collected Rs313 million in 15,966 transactions while in September2015 FBR was collected Rs 159 million in 13,277 transactions. In October 2016 FBR collected Rs 330 million in 17,331 transactions and in October 2015 Rs 156 million in 16,522 transactions.
