The Mic Drop: Kids’ Open Mic (Ages 8-11) Are you a poet, an awesome dancer, singer, rapper, actor or even a comedian? Forget that stage fright and show us your star power! International Cooking Class Some say the best way to get to know a culture is through sampling its food, but an even better way is learning how to cook it. December 5 @ 4:00pm DIY Washi Tape Holiday Cards & Gift Tags Get into the holiday spirit as we craft and make our own festive holiday cards and fun gift tags out of washi tape. Mon. December 10 @ 4:00pm Bullet Journals Basics A bullet journal is a cross between a planner, to do list and a diary and has been described as an “analog solution for the digital age.” Learn how to create your own bullet journal at this workshop. We will not only show you what a bullet journal is and can do for you, but we will provide supplies so you can start your own! Tues. December 11 @ 4:00pm Holiday Cookie Baking Made a cookie cutter during our 3D printing 101 program, but you don’t know how to make cookies? Teen & Adult Programs These are specially designed programs for both Teens and Adults! Individuals and families are welcome. Frankenstein’s 200th Birthday Inter-generational Reading, Movie, and Craft Inter-generational reading is here! Start with a classic that is on many Summer Reading Lists: Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. Families can read together and then come to the library to talk about it. Adults that never had time to read the original will find a richer story than anything seen in film adaptations. After a brief discussion, we will show the first Frankenstein movie ever made, and make some Frankenstein Phlegm. All parents are welcome but seats are limited to the first 15 students to register. A three day festival featuring an incredible lineup of performers that included the Allman Brothers, B.B. King, Grand Funk Railroad, and Jimi Hendrix.
