Introduction This field trip is an uninterrupted time for primary research in the landscape, gathering material for later work in the year. We shall study the idea of tone versus colour. The expression of the landscape comes through the various dimensions of colour. Particular focus is on landscape and primary studies students will be able to work in the stunning landscape and seascapes very close to St Davids, Wales. We have a dedicated studio and lecture room in the Graham Sutherland Landscape Gallery (see image below).
Every morning 9.30am there are introductory talks on painting ideas and working processes, practical sessions & individual tutorials in the gallery. 4
