This project is a combination of an architecture studio and architect's residence. The site is located in the edge between the residence area and a park with a lake. How to deal with the interface between urban and nature, work and family is the main issue. Through the design, I attemp to use landscape, height , solid and void spaces to deal with the interface.

Accordance / Community Center Design Type : Library, Performance, Office/ Location : Tainan/ 2013NCKU 3rd Grade
T he comunity center loacted in a park with lots of trees in the busy city center. I Hope the building will not affect the original environment and keep the original space characters. Try to use the surplus spaces defined by trees to build the community center. With the dividing of trees, the park can be seperated into different areas to accomodate multi- actrivities. Hoping to reach the balance between the nature and architecture.

Path Penetration /Christian Church Design Type : Religious, Shop,Housing / Location : Tainan / 2014NCKU 3rd Grade
Christian Church located in a urban site in the old Tainan city center. To be a obvious building at the corner of busy streets, I attempt to make the church be a public space not a secret space with self activity. Appropriate public will make the religious space to be more friendly. Hoping to make te church not only a worship space but also a joint connecting people from different spaces and make different people meet together .

Path.ing Through /Hybrid Community Partner : 蔣思敏 Type : Community, Housing / Location : Tainan / 2015.NCKU 3rd Grade
T he community located in the new Tainan city center with convenient transportation nearby. As the midpoint between important transportation nodes and locates at the interface of residence and park, how to make a community that could recieve different visitors is the key point of the project. Besides, the history background and urban fabric also offers interesting view for designing the master plan. In the project, we try do deal with the old and new, and create a community with high diversity of culture.

Under the climate change, what will happen in th future? With the severe nature disaster and man-made calamity, human will face the food, energy shortage, with the unfair capaitalism, the current politics condition may change and influence the future life. In the project, I try to find out what will happen to Bali, Indonesia when it facing the great changes, and how to transform itself into a self-sufficiency place and have sustainable life. With the background knowledge of physical environments of architecture and the support from professor, I will try to study this thesis from a different view as usual.

In the workshop, we tried to construct something interesting but possess reason structure. We had the prototype of a square, and then flipped it out with smaller square, trying to set a rule and make the flipout step to letthe form be stable. With the instructors, we not only studied the structure behavior, but also the details of the joint. Finally we proposed a cube came out from the flipped square that could stand by itself.

Located in the old Tainan City Center, with lots of historic building nearby, we try to respond the site with parametric tools by remapping the location of historic building to our plan. Besides, to keep the visual path in the site, we decide to put our program underground, and leave the GL a park that connect with the new pedestrian. In the project we try to use this new building to recall the local memory of history and re-planning the area's public space. 1

Site Observation
China Town is an abandoned hybrid building. Through the building, you could find lots of clue that told you what it experienced. We try to find out the representative elements in different time in China Town, and use them to study the history of it. By using "frame" to "peek', we hope to use an installation that could help visitor, or even the residence to find out the local history. Not only to know the history, but as a way to find the future.

China Town Image Installation
