Safety Comes First
At Pasabahçe, we know the importance of safety when it comes to our daily home and office lives. This is why we put the highest efforts into developing a wide range of tempered glassware products for maximum safety, superior resistance and durability.
Some of the items in this catalogue are either fully tempered or rim toughened.
Tempered items:
- Can be used without accessories in the microwave oven.
- Are suitable for dishwasher and refrigerator usage.
The tempering process provides the following advantages:-
Fully Tempered Items:
- More resistant to strong shocks, breakage or scratches.
- More resistant to sudden heat changes.
- Longer lifespan by means of durability.
- In case of fragmentation, our glass has been designed to break into small, blunt fragments instead of sharp pieces.
- The size of glass fragments can vary according to the design, shape, thickness, usage and lifespan of the glassware.
Rim toughened items:
- The rim is more resistant to strong shocks, breakage or scratches.
- The life span of the item is longer as a result of the durability of the rim.
Fully Tempered
Heating the glass to melting point followed by a controlled cooling process, increases the durability of the glass against shocks and sudden heat changes. Tempering also ensures a safe breakage. Tempered Glass shatters into small and safe pieces, eliminating the risk of injuries.
Extra Resistant
Our plates and bowls, produced by spinning technology are heat strengthened against thermal shock and breakages.
Tempered products are identified with this symbol which is placed both in the product catalogues and on the product packaging.

With a greater focus these days on natural, fresh, organic nutrition, glass products have become more popular in our kitchens as they both safely store, and elegantly present our foodstuffs. Homemade offers designs that conserve your lovingly-prepared products by utilising the practicality and purity of glass.
Jars:

Oil & Vinegar:
• Hinged lid helps keep the contents and pourer clean and preserves the aroma.
• Embossed olive designs decorate the jars and make them easy to grip.
Homemade jam, tomato paste, pickles, preserved foods, soup and cookies… They all have a taste of their own and give a sense of reliability no other food can. From now on, all these homemade delicacies, prepared by your own skilful hands, can will be kept and transported in Pasabahçe Homemade Jars without spoiling or leaking.
Preserving with Homemade Jars
Care instructions:
Please check that there are no chips on the rim. Wash jars and lids in hot water with detergent and rinse well before use. To sterilise jars and lids, preferably boil them in a pot full of water.
Filling the jars:
Always use fresh fruits and vegetables. Never fill the jars to the top. Leave a gap of 1.5-2 cm at the rim. Particles on the rim may prevent the jar from closed properly. Clean the rim well, apply the lid and close it securely, (do not over-tighten).
Preserving by using pasteurisation process: Place the jars in a pot and cover with water (the water level should be about 5 cm above the top of jars). Start the boiling process and continue to add water as required to maintain the initial water level during pasteurisation.
After pasteurisation:
Leave the jars in the water and allow them to cool. Make sure the jars have vacuum sealed correctly by checking the middle of the lid is drawn inwards. This will pop up when the jar is opened.
Consumption:
Before consumption, always ensure that the jar is still sealed and the vacuum button is curved down.
Preserving using the inversion method: For preparation and filling the jars please follow the same process as above.
Fill the jars with the hot food and put the metal lid on. Turn the jars upside down on your counter on a towel or cloth, and leave them for at least 15 minutes. Turn the jars upright again and allow them to cool down and seal. This could take a couple of hours. Once cooled down, press down on the middle of the vacuum lid to make sure that it is sealed. The heat from the food causes the air inside the jar to expand and then creates a vacuum while cooling down.
