My name is Lisa Vargas, Over much adversity and many differences I became a struggling single mom with 5 children, in the summer of 2016. Struggling barely making ends meet, 2 children at home full time the other 3 at school. Appointment after appointment unable to work outside of the home. I was lost as to what to do, praying to God to show me the way, to give me something I could do to make things better. I was presented with the opportunity to Host a Tupperware party for a lady who I had meet through a friend. I learned of the many different things about Tupperware, such as the
warranty if it breaks they replace it, how all of it is BPA free. Those are some important things to me being a mom, who was looking to make things better for the kids. So the party is coming to an end, not even one sale! And my new friend is like hey would you be interested in becoming a consultant? However, I was skeptical and hesitant only having $50 left for the next couple weeks! What if I failed, what if nobody bought anything! But then I also thought about the What If’s.. what if this was the opportunity that I had been praying about! What if God was showing me the way! So I spent $46 of the last $50 I had, for a chance to make things better. I signed up as a Tupperware Consultant on February 1, 2017. Not even a month into working my business me and my family were involved in a very bad car accident, the children healed fin with no permanent injuries. I however, was not so lucky suffering from a concussion and many spinal injuries, completely leaving me unable to work a regular 9-5 job ever again in my life. If I had not signed on with Tupperware when I did, I never would have had the same chance again! Take a chance! I’m a happily married wife and mom of four kids. Two of whom are in college or college bound and 2 still in school. I have been a homemaker and business woman off and on for 30 years as my husband and I grew our family. Over the years I have been with 3 direct sales companies. The first one was a terrible experience, but yet, it was a learning experience. My second direct sales company was amazing and I was with this company for 10 years. We moved and I didn’t want to start over building my business in a new town where I knew no one so I gave up being a consultant. I volunteered at the school and community clubs in our new community but felt lost and lonely. I hadn’t worked outside of the home for nine years and wasn’t looking forward to finding a job. I finally started my own business creating merchandise for community members and even the schools. I was doing well but still home alone and without friends. Then one day my niece posted on social media that she had joined a brand new direct sales company that I had never heard of, but she was now doing what I was doing on my own! I was so excited. When I was able to return home, I signed up for my second convention and was so eager to attend and see my new found friends and family. It was at this convention that I set a goal and came home determined to meet this goal of advancement. I went beyond my comfort zone and reached out beyond my local community. My sales have soared, my business has grown. I have advance and built a team and could be happier or more proud of myself. But more than building a business I have built a tribe of friends and new found family. I may work at home building my business but every day I am communicating with friends, making new friends. I never in my wildest dreams imagined that signing up to be a consultant in direct sales would take me out of my comfort zone to figure out who I am and to make friends.
