Kerry paints bright future for Molong Art Group
from OCLife20230727
meets fortnightly. The group will be a way for like-minded people to get together, and learn from each other. “It’s going to be a combination of meeting up on regular occasions, and then we will invite people to come and give classes once we get more established, and hopefully we can book in with people who are touring the region too,” Kerry said.

The art group is open to artists of any level (including beginners), and any medium of art. “I think absolutely anyone can be an artist so anyone who wants to come along is welcome,” Kerry said.

She is looking forward to the future of the group and its collective creativity. With enough members, the group will host their own exhibitions, says Kerry.
“We’re looking at putting in art, as a group, into the Molong

Show and, because I’m going to open a gallery, and the RSL has some space, we’re definitely hoping to have a few exhibitions.”
Kerry’s big dream – hopefully to become a reality soon – is to open the doors of an art gallery in the old bank building in Molong before Christmas.
“I think the town would really benefit from having something in town — to build that momentum, to be a bit of a cultural hub. I think that in order to open a gallery in Molong, we need to have a thriving artistic community like Orange,” Kerry said.

The Molong Art Group meets every second Tuesday at the Molong RSL Club from 6.30pm. To get involved, contact Kerry Ferguson at admin@dangerousbeauty.com.au
