WE THEIR SACRIFICE
252 fine men and women have lost their lives while serving on our Police Force, with the first NSW Police Officer killed on duty being Constable William Haviland here in Orange on June 16, 1862. On September 29 each year, police pause to honour those who have fallen while serving. This Friday (28th) the Central West Police District Annual Remembrance Day Service will be held at St Barnabas Anglican Church from 11am. Let’s all pause to reflect on the outstanding service our Police provide, and the risks involved. Members of the community are encouraged to join Police for the service.
