TIPS AND TRICKS Get the most out of your summer BBQ with these grilling tips and tricks and become a grill master. •

Use an aluminum foil pan. For saucy meats or small veggies using a grill pan will keep your grill clean and make it easier to get a nice, even char on veggies.

No room for corn! Corn on the cob can take a while to cook and does not always cook evenly. If you need more space on the grill, cook the corn in the oven to cook faster and more evenly, then finish on the grill to add some char.

Steam veggies. Use heavy duty grilling foil to make grilling packets for veggies. Shape the foil like an A-frame to allow heat to rise and steam your veggies to perfection. Don’t forget the beans. Baked beans go really well with BBQ. Use your side-burner on your grill for beans and add some liquid smoke to perfectly complement your grilled meat.

Grill Basket. Use a grill basket for delicate fish and tender chicken thighs. Add lemons in the basket to give the meat a light, summer flavor.

No smoker, no problem. Turn your charcoal grill into a smoker by adding a pan of water on the bottom next to the briquets and wood and a pan of water on top of the grate next to the meat.

Grilled pasta. Use an aluminum pan or grill-safe casserole dish to make grilled mac & cheese or lasagna. Breakfast. Use a flattop grill or pan to grill bacon, eggs and breakfast sausage.

Clean up. Be sure to leave your grill on for a few minutes after you remove all of the food to allow any extra food to burn off. Then, use a wire brush to scrape off any excess char.
