USF Health GME values your well-being while you’re here training with us. We are committed to ensuring that our residents and fellows remain physically, financially, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually healthy while completing their training program. Residency and fellowship training can be a stressful time, and it is important to know about resources available to you. • Wellness resources include programs to cope with burnout, tragedy, depression & substance abuse, fatigue management and self-screening tools for overall mental health and depression. Residents and Fellows have free access to the Headspace App, a meditation and mindfulness tool. • Staying physically active is an important key to support wellness, but it can be tough with all the demands placed on a residents’ time. So, we’ve created an environment to help our residents and fellows maintain active lifestyles to ensure good physical health. This includes full-service, stateof-the-art fitness centers with complimentary memberships, nutrition/food apps, fitness trainer/ tracker apps, and health care when you’re unwell. Residents and fellows who train at our primary teaching hospital, Tampa General, also enjoy an on-site fitness center at no cost. • Additional wellness resources • And we have fun as a well-connected GME family.
