Drive a culture of operational excellence through collaborations and implementation of quality services and systems in support of the USF Health community.
Goal 1 // Develop project management infrastructure for the USF-TGH Health Care Collaboration initiative
USF and TGH entered into an enhanced affiliation agreement in July of 2020 to build upon their long-standing relationship and become a leading Academic Medical Center to provide advanced care across all missions (patient care, teaching, research and community outreach). The full transition to this new organization is being coordinated by a Project Management Office (PMO) made up of 24 stakeholders from USF, TGH, and a management consultancy firm. USF Health Administration plays an integral role in this transition providing project management and administrative services (including facilitation of the PMO Marketing & Communications, and Space Planning groups) to support 33 work groups and their 160 members
Goal 3 // Finalize the operational efficiency model for the Morsani College of Medicine + Heart Institute
USF Health Administration built a model to support the Morsani College of Medicine + Heart Institute operationally and administratively in the following ways building operations concierge services parking & transportation, stakeholder services, event planning, downtown partnerships and vendor relations
Highlights include:
Developed the MCOM + HI Stakeholder Manual, which involved:
Policy and process standardization across MCOM + HI
5 new procedures developed/implemented,
4 process improvement projects
Developed MCOM + HI Fire and Evacuation Training (in-person and video training)
Provided project management support for MCOM + HI construction
Creation of centralized 'MCOM + HI Construction Punch List' (over 518 items identified and tracked)

Led the operational planning for MCOM + HI phased reopening to ensure a safe and ordered process.
Launched the MDD Stakeholders' and Operations Planning groups to support collaboration, information sharing and efficient operations across MCOM + HI service units and stakeholders
Partnered with CBK to develop a price sensitive Drop Off Catering' Menu for internal downtown students, faculty and staff.
Launched a MCOM + HI feedback survey to inform building operations and services.
Goal 4 // Develop a mechanism to track and report on the Morsani College of Medicine’s strategic goals over
USF Health Administration worked with Morsani College of Medicine (MCOM) stakeholders to refine objectives and define metrics for 17 education, research, and clinical mission goals within the 2021-2026 Strategic Plan All goals, associated objectives and measurements were set up in a collaborative online dashboard to begin annual tracking, and a dissemination plan was designed to share information with MCOM executive and faculty councils.

Goal 5 // Promote Operational Excellence & a More Unified USF Health
A key component of USF Health Administration’ s mission is to drive a culture of operational excellence through collaborations This past year, we led the New Normal initiative, a centralized and collaborative effort for remote work planning and operational efficiency, which resulted in 35 recommendations (22 implemented and 8 in progress) to improve efficiency across USF Health, including the development and launch of USF Health’ s Remote Work Resources web page. We also oversaw the USF Health Alignment Committee’ s review of 54 ‘Operational Efficiency Action Plans’ submitted by all USF Health colleges departments, and divisions
This work was presented at the AAMC’ s Group on Business Affairs (GBA) & Group on Institutional Planning (GIP) 2021 Joint Virtual Spring Meeting.
In February of 2021, USF Health Administration launched the 'USF Health Idea Bank,' to capture and support the ingenuity creativity, and innovative spirit and ideas of the Health community The USF Health idea bank is a safe place to share ideas on how USF Health can grow and advance our organization in a world driven by change.
In May of 2021 USF Health Administration established the Administration and Operations Collaborative, a forum to provide opportunities for USF Health administration and operations leaders to share information and best practices in order to foster partnership, awareness, and understanding across our enterprise.

To execute on the following goals, measurable objectives are developed and assigned to individuals within USF Health Administration.
01Develop a flexible strategic planning process, with a focus on continual improvement, to support our department’s strategic priorities and cultural development.
Bring awareness, across USF Health, to our department’s mission, strategic priorities, and goals.
Support USF Health, through the collaborative development and provision of tools and resources, to promote administrative and operational efficiency.
Identify opportunities for continual improvements in USF Health Administration’s service lines (MDD building concierge services, downtown events, project management, administrative and operational support).
