UPDATING NIKE FLYKNIT Nike Flyknit is one of the most difficult shoe designs to update because it is already extremely simple with just a single outter layer for the upper, that moves easily with your foot. It is also extremely lightweight. Although wearing them is relatively comfotable comparing to other shoes in the market, but it is not specifically designed for me, thus it does not fit my feet perfectly. In this case, I decided to update Nike Flyknit based on the research and my athropometric measurement. Ideally, the updated Nike Flyknit is going to not only fit my feet perfectly, but also satisfy my personal needs and desires.
Most of Nike shoes use regular width for the base. My feet are relatively wider than the norm. When I wear Nike Flyknit, the toe box and heal box on the outter sides always look swollen. Therefore the shoe bases have to be reshaped to fit my feet. Everyone’s feet behave differenly, How to let my feet stirde even more naturally is essential to the design. In the design process, the ability to run in different environments is considered becasue I love jogging in challenging wheathers such as rain and snow. Thus the ability to keep my feet warm and dry while running is essential.
