Kenneth L. Haynes is a 34year employee of UPS in the Red River District which encompasses the states of Texas and Oklahoma. He is a

Staff Level Director in the Buildings and

Systems Engineering (BaSE) department responsible for the Gulf Coast, Valley,

South, and East regions of Texas as well as the state of Oklahoma.

In this role, Kenneth is responsible for maintaining safe facilities and environmental, hazardous material, and regulated goods compliance. In addition, he coordinates the deployment and development of new technology solutions that provide efficient processes as well as manages asset protection, maintenance of all facilities, and the reliability of the equipment. Kenneth began his UPS career in 1988 as a part time employee in the Stafford, TX, Facility. Since then, he has received several promotions which included relocating three times for UPS. His career has afforded him to crisscross the lower 50 states and Puerto Rico in various positions and roles which led to advancement in his career. His final relocation brought him back to where his career started 34 years ago, Houston, TX. In addition to UPS, Kenneth served our country via the Army National Guard for 17 years. He entered service as a Private First Class in 1987 and was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant in 2004. He served in the Texas, North Carolina, and Georgia National Guards concurrently while employed at UPS. Kenneth firmly believes in working hard, but his passion is with the fraternal organizations he joined while attending Lamar University in Beaumont, TX. Kenneth is an active member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated. He is a Charter member of the LawrencevilleDuluth (GA) Alumni Chapter (LDAC) where he currently sits on the Board and serves as the treasurer for The LDAC Foundation, the philanthropic extension of LDAC. He also sits on the Board of the Southeastern Education Leadership Foundation (S.E.L.F) as the treasurer. S.E.L.F is the philanthropic arm of the Southeastern Province of Kappa Alpha Psi. Since moving back to the Houston area, Kenneth has joined the Pearland Manvel Fresno Alumni Chapter and is currently Chairman of the Senior Kappa Committee and Co-Chair of the Community Affairs Committee. Kenneth earned an Associate Degree in Computer Aided Drafting from Lamar University, a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology from University of Houston-Downtown, and a Master of Management from the University of Phoenix. All of this would not be possible without the loving support of his wife of 31 years, Lawana Johnson Haynes and their 2 loving kids, Wesley Lamar Haynes and Bria Nicole Thomas.
