Clarence White III is a local community banker who has invested 27 years into the banking industry. He currently serves as the Market President for the north and northwest corridors of the Houston area for BancorpSouth Bank, a division of Cadence Bank. Clarence was recruited to Houston, Texas, to begin a career in banking with the then First Interstate Bank of Texas in their commercial credit analyst program. This honor came after earning two bachelor degrees at the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) in Tallahassee, Florida. He has spent the last 15 years focusing on clients with commercial real estate portfolios; specifically, those involved in new construction and major renovation developments. Clarence enjoys developing existing relationships, seeking to expand his circle of influence, and managing a team of local banking professionals. Clarence is most proud of being a father of two teenage sons, and four daughters he helped to rear in love. He is also a licensed Methodist minister and serves a congregation in Galveston, Texas. His latest accomplishment is the completion of a memoir tentatively titled: Heartbreak, The Last Heart I Broke Was My Own. He describes his first full length book as “an extended apology letter to my eldest son explaining how I came to be an absentee father for most of his upbringing.” Fortunately, the relationship has been repaired, and he and his sons have a close bond. Outside of ministry, parenting, working, and writing, Clarence enjoys working out most mornings at a local CrossFit type gym in Third Ward, Feast With Beasts.
