Motivational speaker and businessman Kehlin Farooq is a native Houstonian born March 9, 1973, to parents he is forever thankful to,

Imam Eugene Farooq and Dr. Daa’iyah

Farooq. He is one of six siblings landing as the middle child. He is a proud graduate of Texas Southern University in

Houston, Texas, with a bachelor’s degree in Television Journalism and a master’s degree in Television Broadcasting.

His higher education certifications have allowed him opportunities as a senior producer at Black Entertainment

Television (BET) from 1999-2005. Kehlin quickly received acclaim for a special television series titled “AIDS In Africa” he co-produced during his travels to South

Africa’s Mozambique to cover the AIDS epidemic in that region of the country.

He later moved back to Houston to become a professor at his alma mater,

Texas Southern University as well as

Intercontinental University, teaching courses in Speech Communications.

As his personal business endeavors expanded outside of television production and his professorship, he became a fulltime business owner where he delved into the dry cleaning business, laundry business, the beauty supply business, and presently, co-owner of Exotic Pop

Beverages.

He attributes his choices in business as good opportunities that are permissible by (the creator) and in the spirit of honest work. He attributes his business progress and flourishing success to being focused more on a spiritual investment. His future endeavors are to help create a viable market of upright multi-million dollar business opportunities that opens doors for all God-fearing men and women to succeed in business, allowing them to be self-sufficient.
