Fall Rally North

Due to the District's massive size, two Fall Rallies are held each year; one in Northern California at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, one in Southern California at Six Flags Magic Mountain. Thousands of members gather at each of the two theme parks on their selected day, one in October, one in November. At Fall Rally North and South, LTGs and Executive officers are "auctioned" off to Divisions; the winning Division is able to then spend a designated period of time with the "purchased" officer. Auction funds and a portion of the ticket sales for both events go towards the Pediatric Trauma Program.

OTC wasn't your ordinary Key Club event! It was a conferen train and educate them all about Key Club. OTC occurs eve workshops were all hosted by current and past members o Club, but they give life tips in general too. The various topi etc. were all talked about. Trust me, I have them on my no ably, hopefully do. We were all given a booklet to complete and this event is VERY informative especially if you're a ne fear. Your board is most likely, probably, hopefully prepare - Katrina Sacluti, Vanden

These workshops aren't limited to just Key ics of Key Club 101, Graphic Standards, Reducing Stress, otes. In fact, all the officers who attended most likely, probthe blank notes in. It does come in handy for reference ew officer-- like me!! In conclusion, there is no reason to ed ;D

Group picture with all the completed cards after the event

For a DWS, we showed our appreciation to the troops by wri them. However, each card was customized to the member's design to the message, we built the letter up from scratch. A creative with it with pop-up cards and multi-colored layers w kept it more simple with a short but sweet message. Nothing either; everyone could go their own way with this. Not only d creative, but we also got the chance to personally thank and tion to service members! Katrina Sacluti, Vande

MIT Key Club members pose with Rodriguez Key Club members at the Benicia Torchlight Parade! On July 3rd, we volunteered at the Benicia Torchlight Parade. This was our first interclub event with our very own Rodriguez Key Club. We helped marshal the crowd to endure spectators safely crossed the street during parade, and we even got to walk in the parade at the end! -Carmela Villegas, MITA

Key Club members posing for a group photo after the two hour event was over with Matt Garcia Foundation. A monthly tradition of Rodriguez Key Club, where we partner up with the Matt Garcia Foundation for their Downtown Clean Up event. The Matt Garcia Foundation supplies vest, buckets, and trash tongs as well as drinks for the event. For two hours, people split into groups, collecting trash, bottles, and cans also well as other waste and recyclables around Downtown Fairfield in memory of Matt Garcia. It’s a great event where Key Club members can interact and get to know one another as the clean up the streets of Fairfield and help their community. -Jose Estrada, Rodriguez

On June 24th, FHS members attends the Teddy Bear making for Project Linus. This event was held at the Fairfield Civic Center and was an event to make teddy bears for children. There was not a lot to do but make bears, which was still very enjoyable. At the end of this event, Key Club members made 20 or so bears overall. It was very refreshing doing something new and it was very fun making teddy bears from scratch. -Francis Villaflor, Fairfield High School

Teddy Bears for

r project linus

One of the Division Wide Service Projects was to make teddy bears for Project Linus. It was more of a hands-on event since we were the ones to sew and stuff the teddy bears. I enjoyed this event because it was definitely a change. The sewing brought me back to my Home Economics days in middle school. -Katrina Sacluti, Vanden
