Dates to Remember

W K P I

I t November 1st (RECEIVED BY): This is the date for early bird y and it is highly encouraged that your club's dues are received b by then. I personally recommend to physically mail out the ( dues by October 15th, 2016 to almost ensure the chances of y your club receiving early bird recognition. h December 1st (RECEIVED BY): This is the last date before u you are considered late on submitting your dues. It is vital you i have your invoice and check sent in time to ensure participation at DCON and qualifications for elections. If the club you

serve does not submit dues by this deadline, the club will be recognized as a delinquent club. If dues are not paid by February 1st, then the club will become suspended. Remember that you can submit dues more than once, as long as the first submission is by December 1st. There is NO max membership! Go crazy! Recruit the whole school!

When you have the invoice and check prepared, send them to: Kiwanis International PO Box 6069 Dept 123 Indianapolis, IN 46206-6069

If you or your club advisor are having issues with accessing the MUC, contact memberservices@kiwanis.org and provide your issue and they will work to remedy any issues that may be present. Special Olympics The special Olympics hosted by Fairfield High began this amazing journey, marking now 2 successful events. This event was hosted on November 10th from 7:30am all the way until 2:00pm. All of the kid's energy is what kept all of us going as well. The special Olympics is an event for children with disabilities or illnesses to come out and "compete" in a soccer tournament. (All kids were awarded at the end) Fairfield had over 100 volunteers ranging from key clubbers, to leadership kids, and just the whole entire student body! Some classes even came out to watch from the stands, and cheer on the kids. Volunteers helped set up, clean up, make encouragement posters, and of course played with the amazing kids. We even got Division 8's famous SpiderMan to come out and say hi to the kids! Not only was the event successful and for an incredibly great cause, this event really portrayed not only to key club, but to the student body of how helping others can feel so good.
