Hello Division 8 Ballers! WOW a new decade is gonna happen soon which means new opportunities for Division 8 to thrive and grow! Mainly December has been full of applying for scholarships and applying to some private schools (fingers crossed). I have been kind of slacking with these newsletters (explaining this newsletter being posted about two months late haha). BUT DON'T WORRY! Your girl will be back on her newsletter grind from now on so that I can end my time as your DNE strong. Don't hesitate to email me and if you have any D8 pictures at all please email them to me. American Canyon Reading Buddies

Food Pantry

Once more, Key Clubbers volunteered for Another month, another Food the weekly Reading Buddies! Key Clubbers Pantry event! Key Clubbers helped younger students by reading, participated in Food Pantry playing games, and forging a strong bond once more, helping organize with their reading buddy. Thanks to our many cans and other products. Key Clubbers, these children will be strong Overall, another successful in reading, allowing for a brighter future food pantry for everyone for everyone! involved!

Snow Day

Today was a festive day for Key Clubbers, for we got to help out in our town’s annual Snow Day! In addition to setting up and cleaning up the event, many of us were assigned specific jobs, such as monitoring kids in the snow, walking around with mascots, etc. It was a great event to bring our spirits up for the holiday season!


American Canyon Tree Lighting

Reindeer Run

Key Clubbers volunteered for the annual Tree Lighting this early December! Volunteers worked under dark and rainy conditions, which was a challenge for our volunteers. However, as the night went on, our Key Clubbers got the chance to meet their favorite mascots! This event was quite challenging but was absolutely fun for everyone involved.

Key Clubbers, alongside other community members, Â volunteered once more for the annual Reindeer Run! Before the event, we were assigned locations to help with, giving us a solid role. There was a variety of roles ranging from giving medals to ensuring runners would make the right turn, which was all done with cheering and encouragement from the volunteers!


Benicia Sons & Daughters of Italy Turkey Trot

Key Club, as usual, helped serve all the main dish and appetizers to Sons and Daughters of Italy members. We helped clear and take down the chairs and tables afterward.

Key Club helped with sign-ins and distributing water at water stations. Round Table Takeover

Bussed tables at round table in order to raise profits for a cause in Kenya.


MIT Service Expo Holiday Cards

MITA’s Officer has been planning a service expo since the last term. It will be put into effect next week Our club has partnered with a fellow on Wednesday the 11th. Basically, we have contacted teacher (Ms. Lara) within our school to do many community service multiple organizations and businesses to help opportunities to help out during the educate our students about potential holidays. Those who sign up can create jobs/careers or even community service. We holiday cards for senior even have a raffle prize for the student who citizens to cheer them up and put a smile on completes a “bingo sheet” which is evidence their faces. There are also future events that they went to every booth. where students will go and help Ms. Lara pass out the gifts and even get to chat with the seniors.
