CHARITY SPOTLIGHT:
THE THIRST PROJECT
What is it? An organization that works with the support of young people to end the global water crisis by building freshwater wells in developing communities that need safe, clean drinking water. So far they have raised over 10 million dollars, giving clean water to 13 different countries and over 400,000 people.
There are many ways you can help support the thirst project. All donations help run the programs that benefit the children and families that need us the most. Every gift, regardless of the size, transforms children’s lives.
Fundraise: You can plan and execute your own fundraiser or event in your club to help end the global water crisis. Take whatever you are good at, and use it to help give people clean water. Donate: $25 Give one person safe, clean drinking water for the rest of their life. $50 Give two people safe, clean drinking water for life as they start their family and build their lives together in their community. $100 Give an entire family of four access to safe, clean drinking water for life.

INTRODUCING
MIAH CHAO 2021-2022 LTG
On Saturday, January 23rd, the first-ever Region Conclave was held where Miah Chao of Benicia Key Club was elected as the Lieutenant Governor-Elect for the 2021-2022 term.
What is Conclave? An event usually run by the current Lt. Governor of the division to elect the next Lt. Governor to represent that division on the District Board. Conclaves are held a month or two after Candidate Training Conference, which all prospective Lieutenant Governors are strongly encouraged to attend. Each Dues paid club is allowed to have two voting delegates that vote for the candidate they think will do the best job. In order to meet quorum, a division must have representation from a majority of its clubs. All members are encouraged to attend Conclave to get the rare opportunity to see the future of their division unfold right before their eyes!
