November Awake-A-thon For the month of November, American Canyon and MIT Key Clubs are working together to plan the very first annual Division 8 Awake-a-Thon! This will happen on the weekend of November 9th or November 16th. Details are being worked out as we speak! We are also hoping to have attendees from Divisions 7 South and 26 North!Again, this is an extremely tentative update. Be on the lookout for more information!
Senior Scholarships Kiwanis Children's Fund scholarships are designed to help members of Circle K International and graduating seniors who are members of Key Club International. The Children's Fund appreciates the generous donors whose dedication to the Kiwanis family, education and community service makes these scholarships possible. Scholarship applications for the 2019-20 Kiwanis year will be posted on November 1, 2019. Applications are only accepted online and typically have a due date of February 1. Make sure to check out the following link for scholarship opportunities: https://www2.kiwanis.org/childrensfund/impact-andprograms/scholarship-opportunities#.XbUkCppKhPY

Coastal Cleanup
The annual Coastal Cleanup arrived, and it was cleaner than ever! ACHS Key Club, along with other volunteers from other places, helped clean up trash yet again, lending their multitude of skills, personalities, and effort in order to make the world a cleaner and prettier place!
Food Pantry
Our American Canyon Key Clubbers are truly experts in all areas. Not only are our members able to cook delicious chili - they can clean, lift, and get any job done! This is exactly what happened at our last Food Pantry cleanup, taking place right after our annual Chili Cookoff. This event has been one of our most popular & successful events of the year and it truly shows in our members' dedication. They folded canopies, scrubbed grills, and tidied up the place to a clean finish. Afterward, they were rewarded with delicious pizza and a job well done! 5
Benicia Sons and Daughters of Italy
We helped cater all the food to the members of the Sons and Daughter of Italy organization.
Art Gallery Night
We helped cater the appetizers around the proximity as well as serving the main dishes and specifying various sauces.
Sticker-Lei Fundraiser
Benicia Key Club is selling 2 color combination (black white and/or silver) for fundraising, as well as awesome designed stickers that represent our Division 8 ball. 6
MIT Academy
Dog Toys
We started making dog toys as a fundraiser/donation to the dog shelters in Vallejo. Chipotle Night
MIT hosted a Chipotle Restaurant Night for extra money for PTP for FRN on October 19. It was also another chance for our members to complete a requirement to become an official member.
Spirit Night
MIT has attended all of the Spirit Nights for FRN. Our club was also the majority at the Spirit Nights.
Yuda Bands
We teamed up with YUDA BANDS to help raise funds for Grace Rupiya's education. We were unfortunately short by a couple of hundred dollars due to the shock of how expensive the bands were. But we are proud that we raised some money for Grace. 7
