A word from the Division News Editor

Hello Division 8, Woah it's my third newsletter already?! That's so crazy time is already flying by so fast. This month has definitely been a month of socializing...from going (for my first time ever) to RTC, to meeting so many new people at the Spirit Nights! I will definitely have to up my socializing game though since I will be posting much more pictures on our D8 instagram and preparing for FRN. I can't wait to meet you all at FRN and our last Spirit Night on October 11th! I hope school is going great for you all and let's spread that D8 love for service :)

Sticker-Lei Fundraiser D8 is holding a lei fundraiser selling any two color combination of our Division colors: black, white, and silver! On top of that, we're combining it with a sticker fundraiser! The designs are available on the Google ordering form as well as in person at the Spirit Nights or even FRN! Be sure to ask Katie or your DLT for any questions !

What is Fall Rally North? The main purpose of the Fall Rallies is to celebrate the donations we've raised for the Pediatric Trauma Program. In addition to each division's stellar efforts, the event itself is also a large-scale fundraiser for PTP through the tickets we purchase! By simply attending Fall Rally, members are contributing to our overall fundraising efforts, which definitely adds more meaning to their attendance! Fall Rally North - Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, Vallejo, CA Date: October 19th, 2019 Hours: 10:00 A.M. - 11:00 P.M. Ticket Windows Opening Time: 8:30 A.M. A word from the DLT

Hello! This is Lieutenant Governor Katie Han. Like the rest of Division 8, I am getting geared up for Fall Rally North on October 19th at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. My first Fall Rally North was during Junior year as an EA and President. It was truly an amazing experience and really motivated me to take Key Club more seriously throughout the rest of the year. I think it is a wonderful opportunity for freshmen and underclassmen to learn and see more about our wonderful organization! I am most excited for the spirit battles and leading our Division in the Rally !The best way to approach me is just to come up and say hi! I am super friendly and I would LOVE to make more Division Ballers. Get to know me. :)

A word from the DLT Hey ballers! Since the beginning of September, it’s been so nice to see your lovely faces at the spirit DCMs! The month being September, means our annual Fall Rally North (FRN) is soon upon us! I have only gone to FRN once but it was truly an unforgettable experience. Last year, I did not come as spirited as I hoped to be, so for this year, I can’t wait to dress up and show my love for this Division. I hope to see many of you at FRN repointing Division 8! Make sure to give a wave if you see me there! Love, Aimee Han Hey ballers, EA Kahlani here and I just wanted to know.... are you guys ready for FRN? Don’t stress too hard because the last FRN was actually my very first one and it was really fun! The most exciting part was meeting new people from clubs and doing spirit battles. The best way to prepare for FRN is to practice our division cheers and making spirit gear. I can't wait to see you all at FRN!

A word from the DLT Hello D8! My name is Juliana Tran and I’m one of your EA’s (Executive Assistant) this term! I am a senior at American Canyon High School and am always willing to assist with anything you may need! FRN is always a fun and exciting time of the year for me, and is one of the busiest times of the term! This will be my fourth year at FRN and I’m most excited to meet KCers from other Divisions. I’m also excited to and see all the members of D8 in the same place, all working together to show off our spirit. With weeks of preparation, new cheers, and beautiful merch, I think this year will be one of the most fun yet! Feel free to say hi to me during FRN as well! My day is pretty relaxed after the rally is over and I am more than willing to get food, watch shows, or see animals with everyone! Keep practicing those cheers and I will see you all on Saturday, October 19th! Hey! This is your Division Tech Editor, Alex Cortez! This is my second year as being a part of Key Club, so Fall Rally North last year was the first time for me. What I’m most excited for at FRN is the chance to meet all the other Divisions who took their time to come and see them all in their own spirit gear! If you ever see me at FRN and want to chat, just come up to me and say hi! I promise I don’t bite! I want the chance to talk with everyone and hope for you to enjoy your time: we’re here to have fun!

A word from the DLT Hello Division 8!!! My name is Katie Own (far right of picture) and I already know y'all are excited for Fall Rally North which is in less than a month! For me it's going to be a bittersweet experience as this will be my last time attending FRN as a Benicia Key Clubber :( however, this is all the more reason as to why I'm determined to make this the best one yet. I cannot wait to see all of YOU the amazing D8 Ballers - decked out in all your spirit gear, shouting cheers during spirit battles, and overall just having the time of your lives! I look forward to bonding more with each and every one of you so if you see me at FRN don't be a stranger. For all my roller coaster loving D8 Ballers out there, if you ever need a roller coaster buddy I'm totally down!!!

Hi D8! This is ONE of your spirit coordinators and my name is Kirsten Hernandez :) This will be my second time going to FRN. When I went it was very overwhelming but I was excited at the same time. What I am really looking forward to this years FRN is being able to hear the chants we’ve learned through the September-October DCM’s! Even if you were not able to go, hopefully the document got shared out so that those who did not attend spirit nights still have the resources to learn! If you have any questions please contact either me or Kayla

A word from the DLT Hey guys, its me your Spirit Coordinator Kayla! So I'm here to tell you about FRN. It's a really fun event where Northern regions come to Six Flags to raise money for PTP, while also auctioning off our divisions LTGs to hang out for the day. This is going to be my third year going, but my first year as a spirit coordinator. I'm really excited to be leading our cheers to raise our spirit. I really recommend people to go to FRN because its a great way for people to socialize and for them to have their "Key Club" moment Hello everyone, it's your Division News Editor here (for the second time this newsletter haha). I am super excited for FRN! This will actually be my first AND last time going so I'm making sure I memorize all the chants, go all out with my spirit gear and take lots of amazing pictures for the newsletters and for the D8 instagram! The best way to approach me at FRN would just to go up and say you read my newsletters or better yet, do the D8 hand sign and I know you're a dedicated reader. Don't be shy to say hi! I promise I'm nice! <3

Annual Chilli Cookoff

The annual Chili Cookoff is back in town, and Key Club is back to help and participate! Though we did not place this year, Key Club still had fun setting up, creating our own chili, and getting to know each other better! Overall, another successful year for American Canyon’s Key Club with more to come these coming weeks!

Food Pantry

Food pantry is back in business and needed more people to help organize! This year, the amount of freshmen volunteering was significantly larger than in past years, signifying a good start to a long and promising year. After organizing, everyone got to know each other better with games and conversations to lighten up the environment. 10

Members helped ensure they are distributed to the proper areas and stored safely in storage trucks. Matt Garcia Downtown Cleanup

The Matt Garcia Downtown clean up is held on the last Saturday of the month and is dedicated to keeping the streets of Fairfield clean. Our key club members walked around downtown , for a good two hours, ensuring they pick up any trash on the sidewalks. 12
