The month of July is a very big month for Division 13 South as we are starting to have in-person service events and most excitingly we are having our first in-person dcm. Committee applications are also out and due by the end of June!! PLEASE APPLY FOR THE COMMITTEES!! We have four committees this year spirit, publicity, fundraising, and recognition. As a publicity committee head, I highly recommend anybody who is interested in graphic editing, web designing, and/or photography to apply because you'll be learning and practicing many practical skills that you could use in key club and many other settings. If you want to be featured in the newsletter, fill out this form at tinyurl.com/d13ssubmissions2122! Kickin’ for Service,

What did the bee do when it was hot? Took off his yellow jacket! Get it? I don’t, I just randomly searched that joke up XD! But speaking of hot weather, IT IS FINALLY SUMMER! I am so excited to be able to spend this summer with all of you guys, so many plans are arising as we speak so please be on the watch for our many sneak attacks. We are slowly going back to being in-person once again, which means we finally get to log off of the usual zooms and go back to being able to finally see you guys smile at our IN-PERSON EVENTS! So definitely sign up for the in-person upcoming service events that we have coming up. Please make sure to work hard this summer and utilize your time wisely since the break will always pass by quicker than a breeze. My biggest advice for this summer is to BEE PRODUCTIVE and to BEE ABLE TO ENJOY YOUR SUMMER! Pat yourself on the back for being able to complete such a rough year of school, YOU GUYS DID THAT!!!

PIA HAO | PRESIDENT | POLYTECHNIC On June 3rd, Wilson Key Club had their first fundraiser of the term. The fundraiser was held at Raising Cane’s in which once members mentioned the fundraiser at the register, Cane’s would donate 15% of sales to the club. This fundraiser was held from 2pm to 8pm. This event provided the club with supplemental funds to help provide new opportunities for our members. As well, the fundraiser brought light to Wilson Key Club and allowed for the creation of interest among our peers. This contributes to bringing in new members for the term.

ARWEN THEA SALDANA |HISTORIAN | MILLIKAN Star Wars spirit doesn’t just end on May the 4th for us ninjackrabbits! In a week-long campaign, our key clubbers participated in service events through Color-A-Smile, Free-Rice, UNICEF MATH, Oceanhere.com Search Engine, and Pause For.

ARWEN THEA SALDANA |HISTORIAN | MILLIKAN The Star Wars fun doesn’t end with the service week. With the joint social with Key Clubs of Millikan, Gahr, and Sato, we had a blast socializing within breakout rooms! Hosted by Vice President Sieri Chea, around 20 members from the 4 schools had joined to make friends within the division and get productive in time for APs. The members had fun and advisors enjoyed their time there as well!

BROWNING | VALLARY ROEUM In the month of May, not much was done for key club because we wanted to take the time for our senior board members to focus on their grades before graduating high school.

CABRILLO | JUSTINE ALCAYDE This month, we attended events and plan on attending more in the future.

JORDAN | CASEY HUYNH For the past month our members have participated in division service events and gained 30 hours total for the month of May. We are in the process of creating ideas on advertising our club to more to students at our school. We also in the process of planning future service events.

MCBRIDE | SIMON ABARQUEZ For the month of May, we were able to host the desired amount of general meetings and including more people from the board onto the DCM.

MILLIKAN |ASHLEY OCAMPO This month, we attended events and plan on attending more in the future.

POLYTECHNIC | PIA HAO What’s up ninjas!! This month we kept it pretty chill as we’re all in the 100 meter dash to the end of school! We planned a service week to keep up them service hours even with the stress of APs and finals and a joint social with Millikan, Sato, and Wilson which kinda popped off!1!1 We had a wonderful 30 people attend the social and garnered quite a bit of of hours from our May the Service Be with you Week. We’ll be keeping it chill this month as well to recoup from school but we do have some fun activities planned for the Summer so be in the lookout! Thank you and HIYA!
