FEATURING...

DRAGON CHINESE NEW YEAR FESTIVAL WIDE HORIZONS GALA

FEBRU DCM FEBRUARY DCM

On February 25, the February DCM was held at Health Careers Academy, a joint DCM between Division 27 South and Division 27 North. This was the first combined DCM of the two Divisions this year, and was a great opportunity for all members to meet new people that they had likely never met before. Multiple icebreakers were held to encourage the members to talk to each other, such as the dancing one shown here. Each group had to come up with their own short choreography to a song and perform it, and it was a great series of laughs that followed.

One of the highlights of the February DCM during February was all of the food that was being provided by various clubs all for fundraising. Food items such brownies, fried rice, lemonade, buldak noodles, a more were available to members across Division North and South to enjoy. Afterwards, after the fo was over, everybody was able to go outside of t venue and explore the trees, the pond, and the scenery just outside. It was a wide open space fil with a cool breeze and complemented with a per sunset right next to it.

DRAGON CHINESE DRAGON CHINESE DRAGON CHINESE NEW YEAR FESTIVAL NEW YEAR FESTIVAL NEW YEAR FESTIVAL

It’s not often that cultural festivals happen in the city of Stockton. On March 9th, members of Division 27 South got to participate in a volunteering opportunity at the First Baptist Church community Center where they helped set up and watch performances. Many also were able to set up booths for various

organizations, and some were even able to see Mayor Kevin Lincoln as well! Many of the members got to talk to several of the organizers and performers prior to the show. Overall, it was a great opportunity to engage in service, meet new people, and start off the spring season.

WIDE WIDE WIDE HORIZONS HORIZONS HORIZONS GALA GALA GALA

On March 16 and 17, members of Division 27 South got to volunteer for the Wide Horizons Gala, a night of eating, auctioning, and dancing among many community leaders and non-profit organizers throughout Stockton and Manteca. Throughout these two days, we got to help set up tables and chairs, plate and serve food, and hand out dinners and desserts to all of

the attendees. We were able to introduce ourselves and say hi to many of the people in attendance. Alongside that, we got to try some of leftover food that remained afterwards, which included salmon, fettuccine, and Ossobuco alla Milanese, all made in the Italian style. It was an amazing experience throughout all of the hours we spent there because of all of the food and formal outfits everyone was wearing. When the night ended, we were able to try out the remaining cakes and desserts while cleaning up the tables to close out the venue.

Hey, Koi Fish!

With only a few weeks left in our Key Club term, it is vitally important that every club completes their respective club elections before the deadline in mid-April when DCON ends! Every club needs to resolve who the officers for the next term will be as soon as possible.

For those of you looking to run for an officer position, there are five main positions you can run for. While positions and specific responsibilities may vary with each club, make sure to contact your home club or president for more information
