Volunteers clear litter along Highway 22 BY BOBBY J. SMITH bsmith@dailycorinthian.com
SHILOH, Tenn. — An army of volunteers descended on Shiloh National Military Park on Saturday. Their mission: To make the park a little bit prettier. Those elected to offices on Wednesday were: president — Lesley Raines; vice president — Zeb Taylor; secretary — Kayla Latch and treasurer — Shirley Perkins. Outgoing president Trish Parks was radiant as she graciously accepted a bouquet of long-stemmed red roses for
outstanding service during her presidency. “The newly elected officers you see before you will be instrumental not only in what our club does, but also how its perceived,” said club member Rick Miller as he officially installed the new leaders. “True leadership is an attainable asset, but is very conspicuous if not present. That being said, the Civitans will be judged by their leadership and conduct.” “It’s like my mom used to tell me as a kid growing up, ‘What you do reflects on me.’ Likewise, what these men and women do will reflect on all of us,” he continued. “We want Please see CIVITANS | 3A
