who wishes to attend. She will pull off the first ever event with lots of prayers and plenty of help from others. Thompson does admit she used to take Thanksgiving for granted. The cafe owner – whose business added the word “Too” because her mother owns the Rockabilly Cafe in Selmer – believed everyone had family to spend time with on Thanksgiving Day. She discovered something much different after talking with customers. Many do not

Gun show shaping up to be biggest ever BY BOBBY J. SMITH bsmith@dailycorinthian.com
Organizers of the second annual Crossroads Gun & Knife Show are gearing up for a busy Black Friday weekend. The event begins Friday from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Crossroads Arena and continues Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Brad Mattox, event organizer and proprietor of Corinth’s Big Bang Trading Co., said the gun show is shaping up to be even bigger than last year’s successful inaugural event.
“We’ll have over 200 tables of different vendors from all over the South,” said Mattox. “There’s going to be a lot of the newest guns that just came out and lots of gun-related stuff.” The gun show will also include a variety of hunting items, clothes, purses, ammunition, knives and other firearm accessories. “It’s a good family event for anybody into shooting and hunting,” said Mattox. Last year’s gun show saw a large turnout, with approximately 2,700 people coming through the doors.
Admission for the show is $8 at the door. Customers can return to the gun show for no extra charge on the other days of the event with a visible hand stamp. Kids 12 and under get in free. The venue will be handicapped accessible. The Crossroads Gun & Knife Show is co-sponsored by T and T Guns and Ammo of Selmer, Tenn. It is a Verified Gun Show, listed on www.VerifiedGunShow.com. (For more info contact Brad Mattox at 808-8007 or Terri Haire at 554-7605 or search for “Crossroads Gun & Knife Show” on Facebook.”)
