Continue Building Connections with Virtual Chamber Networking By Lisa Workman Although we are unable to get together inperson, Chamber members can stay connected virtually through technology. Over the past 2 months, we have modified some Chamber networking events to online, Zoom versions. Yes, it’s a little awkward. Yes, it’s new and different. No, it’s not the same – but it works – and we’ll keep offering online/virtual/digital networking as a way to “get out of the office and meet people.” Plus, anyone can “attend”, and it might just save travel time. Mid-May we hosted our first “Zoom-Bassador Visits” (Chamber Ambassadors) where we welcomed new businesses and new Chamber members Sign Guys and ICON Business Advantage to the Fergus Falls area. Chamber Café went virtual this month too and featured a virtual tour of Fergus Home & Hardware,
Spring-O BINGO for prizes and a dozen miniguest speakers updating attendees on what’s happening in their businesses and organizations. So far, we have hosted two webinars for working remotely – “How to Manage a Remote Workforce” and “How to be Rock Star Remote Worker” presented by Alison Steinwand of Fox Consulting with more than 30 people attending each session. In addition, Megan Beckler, Chamber Board Member and owner of Multi Business Solutions, has presented two “Q&A” sessions on the “PPP” Paycheck Protection Program with more than 50 attending. If there’s a topic you’d like to know more about or would like to present on, please us know. Our goal is to provide connections and content to keep our community connected.
