2015 MAAA BOYS & GIRLS ALL-STAR GAMES
MAAA All-Star Games The Daily Journal wishes to welcome you to their 14th annual MAAA All-Star Games to help honor those seniors who have had a great year of playing basketball for their high school teams. Forty players, 20 boys and 20 girls, have been selected from the 12 MAAA Conference schools to represent their schools. They were nominated by area sportscasters from KFMO/KDBB and KREI/KTJJ radio stations and from Prepcasts, and reporters from the Daily Journal and the Ste. Genevieve Herald. To create two teams for the games this year, the conference is split geographically into NORTH and SOUTH teams with ideally three schools from the large-school division and three schools from the small-school division represented for each team. The NORTH schools are North County, Potosi, Ste. Genevieve, Kingston, Valle, and West County. The SOUTH schools are Arcadia Valley, Bismarck, Central, Farmington, Fredericktown and Valley. Even though the game of basketball is a competitive sport, it is the wish of our sports staff at the Daily Journal that the emphasis of these games be upon the fun of the sport. We ask for your help in supporting all the players in their endeavors on the court and to share in good sportsmanship as a fan. Donn L.
