This organization started because of a group of people who saw a need for hospice in the Parkland and wanted to serve that need with compassion and dignity.

The business, located at 5272 Flat River Road in Park Hills, is an independent, non-for-profit faith-based organization overseen by a local board. It was established in 1989 and is the area’s oldest hospice. The organization began providing quality endof-life care three decades ago when hospice wasn’t as common or as widely accepted as it is today.
“End-of-life care is about living your best life with the time you have left, whether someone has two weeks, six months or longer to live,” said Executive Director Gayla Sisk. “Choosing hospice sooner means more comfort and support during life’s toughest time.”
Serenity HospiceCare’s comprehensive team of medical, spiritual and emotional support staff provides all the necessary care for their patients to remain at home in the presence of their family and friends. They offer two nursing and three CNA weekly visits, regular chaplain and social worker visits, and music therapy. They provide services to anyone regardless of their ability to pay.
Sisk said Serenity HospiceCare’s innovative approach truly illustrates their team’s dedication and commitment to providing peace of mind when it matters most.
“The decisions for your loved one are made right here by our team of end-of-life specialists,” said Sisk. “Our care is the absolute best because our patients are our No. 1 priority.”
Serenity HospiceCare’s motto is, “Whatever is best for the patient.” That is what the staff does, and their patients truly become family.
