About The Community Guide The 2017-18 edition of the Daily News-Record’s Community Guide features the usual wealth of information about the central Valley — the people, schools, clubs, governments, organizations, churches and agencies that make up our corner of the world. The guide would not be possible without the assistance of the Daily News-Record staff, who confirm and update listings, to those in the advertising, prepress and press departments who sell and design ads, prepare each page and print and deliver the publication. The most important contributors, though, are all of you: community
residents, business owners, nonprofit volunteers and school and church administrators who provided up-to-date information about your organizations. We thank all of you for your contributions in making this guide as comprehensive as possible. However, while we make every effort to ensure the accuracy of the listings here, errors do occur, especially given the vast amount of information to be compiled and the at-times difficult task of confirming the most recent data. If you notice inaccurate or outdated information, please send any corrections to jhunt@dnronline.com or
ctierney@dnronline.com and we will list them in an upcoming edition of the Daily News-Record. And if you don’t see your agency, organization, church or group in the pages that follow, please send us your information so we can include it in the 2018-19 guide. Listings for next year’s guide may be sent to the aforementioned email address or by regular mail to the Daily News-Record, attention City Editor, Jeremy Hunt, P.O. Box 193, Harrisonburg, VA 22803. In the meantime, we hope you find this year’s guide to be a useful and helpful resource.
