This year’s event gets started at the Intermodal Transit Center Sculpture Garden, which is displaying the work of artists from the University of Idaho College of Art + Architecture. In addition, the Transit Center’s annual Poetry on the Buses program kicks off with a reception from 4 – 5 p.m., which will include readings by participating poets.

A dedication ceremony for this new public art piece will begin at 6 p.m. Other special features of this year’s Artwalk include internationally-recognized artist Zimoun at the Prichard Art Gallery. Scores of Moscow art lovers came together with the Prichard to bring this exhibition to town, and it is not to be missed! Right across the street at the Chamber of Commerce, artist Chris Carlson will bring the sidewalk to life with 3D optical illusions created in chalk. Traveling T, a mobile screen printing operation, will be printing art-themed tee shirts near Friendship Square. Swing by there to purchase a shirt with the Artwalk logo or the image of the recently installed mural on the Moscow Hotel. Also on the south end of the event, Moscow Poet Laureate Susan Hodgin’s interactive poetry workshop will offer literary fun for all ages!
