Two Syracuse University students were arrested this weekend on drug charges as a result of an ongoing investigation into the death of an SU freshman, the Syracuse Police Department said Tuesday. There is no indication that criminal activity was involved in the death of Marianne Guppenberger, 19, of Taipei, Taiwan, police said. Guppenberger died in the early morning of April 6 after falling out of a window in Brewster Hall. One of the students who was arrested sold marijuana to a friend of Guppenberger. The other sold illegal mushrooms to the same

Minor house fire occurs on Ostrom By Dylan Segelbaum ASST. COPY EDITOR

A small fire broke out on the 700 block of Ostrom Avenue on Tuesday afternoon, forcing the five Syracuse University students who lived in the house to find a place to stay overnight. The fire started at about 3:40 p.m., said District Chief Todd Milton of the Syracuse Fire Department. None of the students who lived in the house at 773 Ostrom Ave. were home at the time, and there were no injuries, Milton said. There was minimal fire and
