Earth’s favorite protector, Superman, the Metropolis Marvel, has historically stood for “Truth, justice and the American way.” Yesterday, that all changed. The Man of Steel Will Fight for “Truth, Justice and A Better Tomorrow” It’s a bird...It’s a plane...It’s Superman! Looking up into the sky, fans can hope for a better tomorrow through Superman’s new slogan, describing his neverending mission. As comic book fans already know, the DC Multiverse has featured multiple Supermen over the years, sometimes even at the same time. For more information on the DC Multiverse, visit dccomics.com. In honor of the real-world superheroes who are striving to make this world a better place, the next generation of Superman characters like Jon Kent will be ghting for “Truth, Justice and a Better World”, as rst introduced in “Superman: Son Of Kal-El no. 1.”

“The Batman” is one of the most highly-anticipated lms of 2022 and Batman fans’ prayers have nally been answered for a new trailer. After over a year’s wait, a new trailer for “The Batman” has premiered at this year’s DC FanDome. DC FanDome is a global virtual event to showcase DC’s upcoming TV shows, movies, video games, comics, and more. And “The Batman” was the hottest ticket of the event. According to IMDb, “The Batman” is directed by Matt Reeves and stars Robert Pattinson, Zoë Kravitz, Jeffrey Wright, Paul Dano, and Andy Serkis. It premieres in theaters on March 4, 2022. Superman has long been a symbol of hope who inspires people, and it is that optimism and hope that will power him forward with a new

mission statement: Truth, Justice and a Better Tomorrow. Superman fans had much to dig into all throughout DC FanDome, starting with a tour of the Kent farm with the cast of Superman & Lois. That was followed by an emotional look back at Supergirl featuring over a dozen current and past cast members.

We also got a peek at the next episode of DC’s Stargirl and a look at some art from the upcoming Superman animated series, My Adventures with Superman (which looks super-fun!). Unexpectedly, we were treated to a surprise look back at Smallville, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year with the re-

lease of the complete series on Blu-ray for the very rst time on October 19. The celebration featured a reunion between actors Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum and special greetings from past cast members including Kristin Kreuk, John Glover, James Marsters, Justin Hartley and more!

Building atop the foundation Jon Kent, DC’s new Superman, Why the SnyderVerse needs to thrive on By Isaac White Daily Planet Contributor On March 18, 2021, the world witnessed what was considered by naysayers as a myth, a lm that does not exist. Now that lm is available to stream and to be held in physical form by its beloved fans. That global phenomenon of a lm is "Zack Snyder’s Justice League." As much praise and love the movie has gotten, Warner Bros has done nothing but deny its success and alienate their fanbase. Though the future looks a bit brighter with Discovery acquiring the rights, fans still have their voices spread throughout social media with the hashtags #RestoreTheSnyderVerse, #ReleaseTheAyerCut, #MakeTheBat eckMovie, and so on. The Snyder Cut ended with an epilogue that shows more room for Zack’s vision for the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) to pave its way, and with how successful his cut is, he deserves to nish paving the road. Minneapolis will play host to the Daily Planet’s new headquarters. ical reception from critics and fans when it was released in March of 2016, Warner Bros made the move to alter David Ayer’s "Suicide Squad" lm. Including a new script written by Geoff Johns, and reshoots took place making the lm have a lighter and comedic tone. Though these changes were not as big as the 2017 lm (dubbed as “Josstice League” by fans), it still was not the lm David Ayer intended it to be. Some of Ayer’s ideas such as

Enchantress and Joker teaming up, Steppenwolf summoned by Enchantress explaining how got he got to Earth prior to "Zack Snyder’s Justice League," more of an abusive relationship between Harley Quinn and Joker, a Deadshot and Harley romance, Diablo surviving, more screen time for other characters, and much more were cut out by the studio. Jon Kent nds his identity in "Superman: Son of Kal-El" no. 5. On Nov. 9 the life of Jon Kent, the Superman of Earth and son of Clark Kent and Lois Lane, takes a bold new direction. “I’ve always said everyone needs heroes and everyone deserves to see themselves in their heroes and I’m very grateful DC and Warner Bros. share this

idea,” said writer Tom Taylor. “Superman’s symbol has always stood for hope, for truth and for justice. Today, that symbol represents something more. Today, more people can see themselves in the most powerful superhero in comics.” Just like his father before him, Jon Kent has fallen for a reporter. After initially striking up a friendship with reporter Jay Nakamura, he and Jon become romantically involved in the pages of “Superman: Son of Kal-El” no. 5 from

writer Tom Taylor (“Dark Knights of Steel”) and artist John Timms (“Harley Quinn”). Following a scene where Superman mentally and physically burns out from trying to save everyone that he can, Jay is there to care for the Man of Steel. “I’m incredibly honored to be working beside Tom on the “Superman: Son of Kal-El” series showing Jon Kent tackling his complex modern life, while also SEE JON • PAGE 3 ▶︎
