PRESIDENT’S REPORT
Hello Members,
The 2023 Club Director Elections have now completed, and our Annual General Meeting was held on 30th April. I would like to thank those members who took the time to vote and show their support and interest in what is happening at your three Clubs. I am honoured and appreciate the support shown towards me and my fellow Board Members. I know that I write on their behalf when I say congratulations to Terry O’Loughlin who was elected as Snr. Vice President, Jack Miller Vice President, and Gary Callaghan Treasurer. As Club President I am very happy to work with this very experienced team.

On behalf of you all I would like to welcome our new Board Member Liz Star who formerly worked at the Club as Entertainment Manager for 20 years. We are happy to have another female on our team.
It is with sadness we accepted the resignation of Ange Humphries, who was a dedicated Board member for seven years. Ange was extremely passionate about our Club, Members and Community. Her knowledge and experience were very much appreciated. It was a difficult decision for Ange to make, but we all thank Ange for the time that she devoted to our Club, and we wish her every success in her future endeavours.
The Board and Executive Team have a busy year ahead as we move along with the Parkside Lifestyle Community Over 55’s Development and several other important matters which I hope will please our members and add to the future of our Club's longevity.
Our Clubs are offering good entertainment and music for our members to enjoy. You can have a dance or sit back and relax and enjoy the great shows on Saturday nights at Workers Blacktown. Why not have a date night with dinner and a show and spoil the special person that is important in your life.
I am also pleased to remind Members that we have many Sporting Bodies including Indoor and Outdoor Bowls, Mens & Ladies Golf, Billiards & Snooker, Cricket, Soccer, Rugby League, Baseball, Darts, Fishing & Small Boats. If you know someone who could be interested, they can contact the sporting body concerned who would be happy to help them out. It can be social or competition and is a great way to make new friends and enjoy your leisure time.
Our membership list is growing fast, so please make everyone feel welcome when they attend your Clubs. It is good so see our members enjoying what’s on offer or meeting up with their friends.
On behalf of the Board of Directors and myself please accept our deepest sympathy if you have lost loved ones or friends since my last report. It is a difficult time for all concerned so please take care and try and spend time with your friends to help you get through this difficult time.
Now we are in the winter months, so please keep warm, take care and be kind to each other.
