My accountant, business nobles and consumers have been bewildered with the colours and the sheets, but they have ultimately been hooked. Many a life has been altered with an overview to the magic of numbers and their sense.
Dear Readers, It’s that time of year where we are all wishing ourselves the best for the festive season, planning a holiday perhaps (for those lucky enough) and looking towards a brand New Year of hope, changes and challengers. There are many stimulating moments in my life daily, but in this ‘issue’ I want to talk about one that truly gets my mind racing NUMBERS. Numbers effect all of us every day, whether we like it or not, believe or NOT believe. They can add so much value in so many areas of our life. We can track them, separate them, study them, design with them; we can also use them as a guide for success. Excel software is up there as a close friend. It allows me to work through 2
Of course, not everyone is an advocate; numbers can shock many away. Pretty often it is the early fear of knowing what the number is, and more importantly what it means, that stops us in our tracks from learning the number in the first place. ‘Don’t tell me, I don’t want to know’ is one risky account. We don’t jump on scales, without the fear of requiring a medical…. and we dodge doing our financials over the fear of how much tax needs to be paid. Whatever the part of life, the number is present, despite your level of mindfulness of it. I want you to link with me on the movement to learn the magic of numbers.
Unlike childhood magic, numbers need not be mysterious or scary, and in business they must be as second nature as brushing your teeth every day. Not everyone shares my excitement for a spreadsheet, but if in doubt, sub it out! Find someone as cool as me who thinks in figures and has analysis as their middle name, and watch with wonder as you tap into a new level of strategic thinking – the numbers way. The numbers (for example), provide me with a constant buzz, that resulted in a sale of property that created both a happy vendor and equally happy purchaser. Or the numbers derived at successfully in securing a tenant for one of my Landlords. So I end with a question: Are you are a believer or non-believer of numbers……………..? May you enjoy the festive season, have Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, I look forward to catching up with all of you in 2018.

Rock y Ro ad IN G RE D I E N TS 100g white chocolate 100g milk chocolate, chopped 100g mini oreo cookies, halved 100g raspberry jellies, chopped 50g pink and white marshmallows, halved 40g cherry ripe bars, coarsely chopped
PRO C E D U RE Step 1 Line a baking tray with baking paper. Step 2 Melt the white and milk chocolates separately in a heatproof bowl over a saucepan of simmering water. Stir with a metal spoon until chocolate melts. Pour in a marbled pattern over the lined tray. Step 3 Sprinkle chocolate with cookies, jellies, marshmallows and cherry ripe. Set aside for 1 hour or until completely set. Break into shards to serve
