Welcome GM, GUY CHAPMAN
Dear Members, Welcome to our Summer Edition of “Club 154.” It is with much delight that we will be unveiling the new and improved Main Lounge, Bar and Restaurant areas on Wednesday the 4th December from 5:30pm. We encourage you all to come in and experience the new Hamptons, meets Art Deco, Industrial Style bar and lounge areas, overlooking our stunning golf course. Not to mention an updated menu on offer too. 2
The badge draw still hasn’t gone off and is sitting at $20,000!!! Be sure to be here on Wednesday 4th December in case your name is called out at 6pm, 7pm or 8pm. If it is still not given away, we will attempt to again on Thursday. We must give it away by Thursday 12th December. We have plenty of activities coming up over Summer that you won’t want to miss. There’s the annual Children’s Toy Raffle between 11am and 2:30pm on Saturday 7th December. Wednesday, Friday and Sunday raffles will be Hams and Hampers. Our Live Music is back from 6th December on Friday and Saturday evenings and then every night of the week from Boxing Day to the 12th January. Club favourite, Totum will be performing live on New Years’ Eve with additional band members and best of all, there is no entry fee. Australia Day brings the return of prawns in bucket, live music and Crab Races run by the Boars Rugby Union Club. An event you won’t want to miss. 2020 brings the Centenary of Golf and a year of festivities to celebrate the rich history on these Catalina grounds. We will be revealing events throughout the year so please ensure that you keep in touch with Club Catalina to find out What’s On and What’s Coming Up. If you are not already receiving our Weekly eNewsletter, be sure to subscribe at reception or email
your details to info@clubcatalina.com.au expressing that you wish to be kept informed. Our website www. clubcatalina.com.au is also a great source of Club Catalina events and information and of course the Club154 quarterly magazine. For all the golfers out there, check out the Pro Shop, where we will shortly be bringing in a great range of Centenary branded merchandise that you will want to get your hands on. Also, there will be extended trading hours over the Summer period where we will be trading until midnight between Boxing Day and the 11th January 2020 with the exception of New Year’s Eve where we will be open until 1am. The Kiddy Cats children’s room will be open between 6pm and 10pm every night of the school holidays and the courtesy bus will be operating 7 nights of the week between Boxing Day and the end of January. Shortly we will be launching our next Major Promotion where you could win a boat, or motorised golf cart. Stay tuned for this. We urge our Members to use their points before the end of the year, after which they will expire (as they do every year), with the exception of Platinum/ Platinum Plus tiers and golf prizes. We thank you for your continued patronage. The Club continues to trade well even throughout these recent renovations, and we couldn’t have done that without your support. We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and look forward to celebrating with you all in the New Year. Guy Chapman | General Manager Club Catalina
