A message from your General Manager Welcome to our November and December Edition of our What’s On Guide. During August and September we entered the Parma 4 A Farmer Challenge to assist our drought stricken farmers. I am very proud to announce Glenbrook Panthers has donated $2,000 to Rural Aid. Thank you to all of our ‘Parmi Lovers’ for your contribution and donations Christmas festivities are upon us and we have some great raffles coming up. Each Thursday night from 7:30pm we have our Pick-A-Prize Christmas Raffles from the 29th November running through until the 20th December. We will be giving away 30 Leg Hams and 10 Meat Trays supplied by Simon @ Glenbrook Butcher as well as 10 Christmas Hampers. Fifty great prizes each week. Tickets are only $1 and go on sale from 6:30pm each Thursday night. This year on Sunday the 11th November we will be marking the Centenary of the Armistice that ended World War 1. Our local Blue Mountains Woodturners are busily preparing a new memorial in Whitton Park that will be installed very soon. A Blaxland Glenbrook Twilight Service will be held at the Glenbrook Panthers Memorial. Further information can be obtained from our Reception staff. On Sunday the 2nd December from 4pm we will be holding our fabulous Mega Christmas Raffle. There will be something for everyone including toys, electrical goods and hampers. Tickets are $2 each and go on sale from 2pm on the day. Don’t forget if you are a Panthers Member and you purchase $10 worth of tickets you also get $10 of tickets for free. Our monthly Tribute Bands have been a great success and we can’t wait for The One Hit Wonders to hit our stage on the 17th November. Kick INXS was so popular back in July they will be performing for us again on the 8th December. Our Tribute Bands are Live and Free from 9pm. Our Christmas Day celebrations will be a little different this year. My talented Head Chef Mohit and his Team will be preparing a Buffet Luncheon consisting of hot and cold food selections as well as fresh seafood and deserts for you to enjoy. Tickets are now on sale – be sure to get in quick as our Christmas Day Luncheon is sure to sell out. As 2018 draws to a close, I would like to thank my professional Team of staff. We have thrived during the past year because of your hard work, creativity and dedication. I am really grateful for your tremendous efforts and look forward to seeing where 2019 takes us. DISCO BINGO WHAT IS DISCO BINGO? This event puts a new twist on bingo by replacing the standard format with much-loved music. Instead of boring old numbers being called out, we’ve replaced them with 15-20 second bursts of the most toe-tappin’, bum wigglin’ sing along songs from the past and present. The numbers on the bingo cards have been replaced with artists and song names. With your bingo card in hand and dabber on standby, listen to what is being played and mark them on the card, whoever gets the most tunes will be rewarded! So what are you waiting for?
