Finally, a smooth ride on Watson Road Riders attending the 89th Annual Laocnia Motorcycle Rally are appreciating the recent paving job that has made the trip from Lakeside Avenue at Weirs Beach back up to Rte. 3 a much more enjoyable ride. During the heart of Bike Week, Lakeside Avenue is one-way north and the only way bikers are allowed to exit the area is to take Scenic Drive north until it curves into Watson Road, which then leads up the hill to the intersection between the Tamarack Drive In and the Broken Spoke Saloon. Scenic Avenue was repaved several years ago but Watson Road had remained a bone-jarring mogul field. The rider pictured above is just transitioning from Scenic Road to Watson Road.
