NATURAL INSTINCT IDEALS OF MANHOOD - MENSWEAR WOODWINKED- VISUAL MERCHANDISING NATURE‘S REINCARGNATION - VISUAL MERCHANDISING ANTIQUED ANATOMY- PRINT AND GRAPHICS

IDEALS OF MANHOOD Driven by austerity-influenced attitudes of mindfulness and conscientious consumption, deep sea blues and earthy greens help to ground the ‘new male’ with this back to basics aesthetic. Proof of provenance, local sourcing and narrative contexts are integral to this new male ideal, which are looking to make careful, considered purchases that have value beyond its function and material worth.

WOODWINKED Bringing the outside in, is to experience raw nature, free from human influence, where our consumer can be moved by the beauty of the landscape and even experience a direct spiritual connection. For the Romantics, nature was the primary vehicle to the Sublime – a sense of awe accompanying the experience of nature, to see the sublime is to soak in the incredible curiosity, beauty and wonder in the world, but also the underlying sense of terror. Interiors which reflect this turbulent juxtaposition, encapsulate nature’s wonderful and cruel omnipotence.

NATURE ‘S RE INCARGANATION Decomposed materials and faded metallic’s incorporate stark copper, eroded stonewashed blue’s and unadorned grey’s; peeling back and exposing the effects of wear and tear upon time’s archaic and overlooked objects.

ANTIQUED ANATOMY Lightweight materials, retracted micro-cloque and sand crepe offer subtly buckled or wrinkled surfaces with skin-like textures. Inspired by the bodies genetic makeup, cellular materials and 3 D printing bring to life the inner body with DNA and cellular designs.

INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION MAN AND THE MACHINE - MENSWEAR HEAVY METALS- VISUAL MERCHANDISING DYSTOPIAN DAZE- PRINT AND GRAPHICS TIME PRECIOUS- VISUAL MERCHANDISING

MAN AND THE MACHINE

The changing relationship between man and the machine has never been closer, harmonising these two elements have integrated both technology and human nature creating evolutionary discoveries.

HEAVY METALS Noisy and gritty textures, chain materials and mirrored metallics combine to create a new industrial direction.

DYSTOPIAN DAZE Geometric shapes, data analytics and information inspire bold clean lines and monotone colour blocking to create visuals which adhere to a dystopian reality.

TIME PRECIOUS

As we commit to all we are offered, the constraints of time become more obvious . The ticking of time means we struggle to achieve all that is desired. Grainy patterns and mechanical details help illustrate the human obsession of the non-stopping clock.
